Have you ever noticed that some websites seem to remember you? Maybe they keep you logged in or remember your preferences the next time you visit. That's because they use small files called cookies. These files help make browsing more convenient, but over time they can also build up on your iPhone & iPad and store information about the websites you've visited.
Some people have decided to change from using Safari and have downloaded DuckDuckGo instead. If you don't want to use a different browser and add another app to your device, continue reading.
Whether you want to make your browsing more private or simply clear some of that saved data, deleting your cookies is quick and easy. In the steps below, I'll show you exactly how to clear cookies on your iPhone & iPad.
How to Clear Cookies on iPhone & iPad
Not all website tracking is bad. In fact, it often makes browsing the web much more convenient. It can remember your login information, save your preferences, and help your favorite websites load the way you like them. The downside is that some tracking can also collect information about your browsing habits, which isn't something everyone is comfortable with. Understanding how tracking works gives you more control over your privacy and the information you choose to share online.
Warning
Deleting cookies also clears your login data, so you will need to log in to your online accounts again.
Here’s how to clear cookies from an iPhone or iPad to prevent website tracking:
Open 'Settings'

Scroll to the bottom and tap on 'Apps'.

Tap 'Safari'

Scroll all the way down and tap 'Advanced'

Tap 'Website Data'. It can take a few minutes for all to load.

If you want to delete cookies for particular sites, tap Edit
Then, tap the 'minus sign' to the left of a website's name, then select 'Delete'
Tap 'Done'
If you want to delete all cookies, tap 'Remove All Website Data'

Then, tap 'Remove Now'

Now that you’ve cleared your cookies on your iPhone, you’ve also taken a step toward reducing how much information websites can keep about your browsing activity. You can choose to limit tracking across some sites or all of them, depending on what feels right for you. This can be especially helpful if you’re trying to keep your browsing more private or just want to clear out extra stored data that can build up over time.
